We narrowed it down to three houses......two that were functionally correct for our family, right size, right number of bedrooms, etc......and one that I fell in love with but it was one bedroom short but you know sometimes you just have to sacrifice for perfect......
And so after many more homes we looked at, we made an offer on one of the functionally correct homes.....we made the offer almost 10 percent lower then the asking price and where we are there are things they are bound by law to have to pay due to our opting to use our VA again. I was not aware that if you put more then 10% down your VA funding fee drops significantly.....and if you are retired and have over a 30% disability you don't have to pay it at all.....just some FYI.
So our realtor took the contract over a little while ago....the couple is military and they are doing the same thing we are, out of town at their gaining installation looking for a new home, so it's being done via phone.....and that kind of worries me a tad bit, but I hope they atleast will counter and we can come up with a negotiated compromise. I really love the house and hope that this works out, otherwise we start over with the next house, which is my least favorite and I'm not so sure he'd consider our offer.....and the one that is not made for a family with three kids....well, I may love it, but my older daughter may hate me before it's over.....
So keeping my fingers crossed because I am beat. I have looked at so many homes, my exercise limit has been exceeded but I am holding up well.....so well I think I am going to see about driving my car instead of shipping it.....I think I can do it.....it think I can.
A Career Soldier....his wife....this is our story.....as it unfolds.

YAY!
I love the words ORDERS! Cause we have ours.........
As my husband stated in the email to me when he sent them to me
"Babe,
Our ticket to Freedom!
Love you!"
Now is the countdown.......we are getting real close to their return date, hopefully enough time for them to work out the issue with my nerve. I think I have an entrapped nerve in my thigh, EMG test is next which will determine where the issue lies and it better be done next week or I will call and schedule it myself.........I think I will need soft tissue work done to work it out, and hopefully I will walk across that field when they come home and not in a wheel chair. Keep the prayers coming.......(Anyone that knows about this condition let me know what you know please!)
I feel horrible about not keeping up with everyone, but I am so medicated on most days it really is hard to think straight. I hope that everyone is well and that things are fine.

And so it ends......
Keys have been found.....
It was the YAY! moment, but then the realization that it was my fault that they were missing to begin with. On the day we left for vacation, I moved my car into the garage, thus I had them in my hand when I got in my husband's truck, since, they were located, under his seat.
I do have to say in my own defense...that I asked the kids to look in there for them 6 weeks ago and they said that they looked very throughly and NO KEYS. Today I went through every drawer I had, all my purses, cleaned my desk, behind the furniture, checked the sofa's and the freezer again (not there Sarah) and finally I figured, well it can't hurt to look again. About 30 seconds into looking, I found them under the seat where they had fallen between them and were sticking up next to the speakers.
In my children's defense, I might have missed them too if I had not been so desperate to find them.....
So now we move on to the missing cordless phone...who knows that could be in one of the vehicles too since I make a habit out of forwarding it to my cell on the way out of the house.....
I guess I need to learn a lesson from this....."GET PAGING SYSTEM FOR ALL LOSABLE ITEMS!"
